Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of SotoLink. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use SotoLink.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the information in your account, the security of your password, and everything published through your SotoLink page. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it when it changes.

You may not use SotoLink to impersonate another person, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, infringe rights, or violate applicable law.

3. Your content and external links

You retain responsibility for the text, images, media, and links you publish. You grant SotoLink the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and deliver that content as part of the service.

SotoLink does not control third-party websites or platforms linked from your page. You are responsible for reviewing their rules before publishing a link and for ensuring your content complies with those rules.

4. Link tracking and analytics

When a visitor opens your page or follows a link on it, SotoLink records basic analytics on your behalf - visit counts, approximate location (from IP address, which is not otherwise stored), device/browser type, referrer, and which links were clicked and when. This is how the Analytics tab in your dashboard is built.

Links you publish are served through a tracked redirect (currently /go.php and short links on sotol.ink) rather than pointing directly at the destination, so this click data can be recorded. Where required by law (for example, for visitors in the EU/EEA/UK), a cookie consent banner is shown before non-essential analytics cookies are set, and visitors can decline them.

5. NSFW links and platform enforcement

SotoLink is not responsible for strikes, warnings, demonetization, content removal, account restrictions, suspension, termination, or other enforcement action taken by Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, or any other third-party platform because of links or content you publish through SotoLink, including NSFW or age-restricted links.

You are solely responsible for checking the policies, age requirements, labeling rules, advertising rules, and community standards of every platform you use. SotoLink cannot guarantee that an external platform will accept, display, or permit any link.

5. Premium plans and billing

Premium features are provided according to the plan shown at checkout. Monthly subscriptions renew through the payment provider until canceled. Lifetime access, where offered, is a one-time purchase and is subject to the plan description shown at purchase.

Payments and payment-card details are handled by our payment provider. You authorize applicable charges and are responsible for keeping billing information current.

6. Availability and termination

SotoLink is provided on an availability basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the service or other users.

You may delete your account from the Account tab. Deletion permanently removes your profile, links, uploaded media, billing record, and associated analytics from our application database.

Free-tier accounts that show no activity (no login, no edits, nothing) for 90 consecutive days will receive a reminder email. A free-tier account whose page is also at least a year old and has received zero visits in the trailing 12 months may be queued for removal; logging in or making any change to your page cancels this automatically at any time before removal. Pro and Concierge accounts are exempt from this policy.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SotoLink is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or third-party losses, including lost revenue, lost audience, platform enforcement, or loss of access to an external service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
