1. What this policy covers

This policy explains what SotoLink collects, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices available to you when you use our account, creator-page, billing, and analytics features.

2. Information you provide

• Account information such as your email address, username, and password hash.
• Profile content such as display name, biography, colors, images, uploaded media, links, and access settings.
• Billing and subscription information needed to provide paid features. Payment-card details are handled by our payment provider rather than stored directly by SotoLink.
• Messages or support information you choose to send to us.

3. Analytics and technical information

When someone visits a public SotoLink page, we may collect analytics associated with that creator page, including:

• Device category, operating system, browser, and browser version.
• Country and timezone.
• IP address. When traffic passes through Cloudflare, the application uses Cloudflare's connecting-IP and country headers.
• Visit time, approximate time spent on the page, whether the visitor appears to be returning, and links clicked.

We use a random first-party cookie to distinguish new and returning visits. It is not intended to identify a person by name. Analytics are used to provide creator dashboards, understand page performance, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

4. Cookies and local storage

SotoLink uses a session cookie for login and security features, a first-party visitor cookie for analytics, and browser local storage for preferences such as theme selection. Links you publish on your page are served through a tracked redirect (/go.php and short links on sotol.ink) so click-through analytics can be recorded, as described in Section 3.

If you visit from the EU, EEA, or UK, a cookie banner is shown before the analytics visitor cookie is set, and you can decline it - declining stops that visit's analytics beacon from being sent, though basic page-load logging (used for abuse prevention) may still occur. Your choice is remembered via a sl_cookie_consent cookie. You can restrict cookies in your browser at any time, but some account and security features may stop working correctly.

5. How information is used

• To create and operate your account and public page.
• To save profile content, upload media, process subscriptions, and provide premium features.
• To measure traffic, link engagement, device/browser usage, returning visits, and page performance.
• To detect abuse, protect the service, troubleshoot failures, and enforce our Terms of Use.
• To communicate service, security, billing, or account-related information.
• To send occasional promotional emails about your account, such as available plan upgrades - you can opt out of these at any time, and doing so does not affect service, security, or billing emails we still need to send you.

6. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with service providers that help operate SotoLink, such as hosting, infrastructure, Cloudflare, payment processing, CAPTCHA, analytics delivery, and email providers. They receive information needed to perform their service and are expected to handle it according to their own applicable policies.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Uploaded content

Uploaded images, audio, video, and other profile content are stored so SotoLink can display them on your page. Do not upload content you do not have permission to use. Public pages may expose content and links to anyone who can access the page.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain account and content information while it is needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. When you delete your account, the application removes your profile, blocks, uploaded media references, billing record, and associated analytics from its database, subject to backups or records we must retain for legitimate legal or security reasons.

9. Your choices

You can update profile information from the dashboard, manage eligible billing plans through the billing portal, control browser cookie settings, and permanently delete your account from the Account tab. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link. Requests about personal information can be made through the service's current support channel.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the service changes. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
